Trunk Bounce?!

I have a 2004 EX Sedan. When I open the trunk with the inside lever, the trunk won't close right the first time. It "bounces" once then I can shut it. When I open the trunk with the key outside, it catches the first time. What do you think is wrong?

You're not closing it hard enough. It's better to have it tight to keep noise out, but if you want there are rubber stoppers that you can tighten so the lid closes easier.

I have the same problem on my car. Sometimes takes like 10 times to shut. What you have to do, is raise the latch that the trunk closes onto (the latch above your bumper). I use the backside of a hammer and pull a little bit. BE CAREFUL OF PAINT! If you pull up to high and have a system, you will get air coming out, and youll have to hammer it down a tad bit untill you are happy. It should last a few months, than do the same thing if it goes back down. Takes you 1 min to do. You can buy a new latch, but I figured this is free and much quicker/easier.

Good Luck! try it out, it will work!
