Don't wait for it to completely warm up before driving off. Myself, I wait about a minute and then drive off. Just drive it somewhat gingerly for the first little bit until its up to operating temp. You'll find it will warm up alot quicker if you start driving it, instead of sitting and idling forever waiting.

I live in nebraska too, I usually let mine sit for a minute or two before driving off. I would highly recommend running redline 5w20 in it. It runs great even when its cold.

Honda doesnt recommend having the car sit and warm up for too long. I would recommend maybe 1- 1.5 minute for an auto, but 5 speed, dont really need to warm up.

Maybe 1 minute then let it warm up when you drive. It's taken almost 10mins of driving before the needle goes almost 1/2 and stays in cold weather.

Agreed. Even in manual I believe it says there's no need to let the engine warm up for more than a minute.

I start my vic, crank the heater, and scrape the ice off the critter while it warms up. That's how I let mine get nice 'n toasty.
