Door getting stuck!!
Your opinions are appreciated..
So I just bought a 2004 civic last month.. took it in last night to get rust protection (oil spray thru current holes in the car, undercoat protection, blah blah). Anyway, I get it back and all looks well. My GF opens the door and it makes this loud POP noise when it opens... so I go to take a look, and when you try to shut it normally it half closes, and basically just bounces back to open again like the lock didn't engage. Anyway you have to really force it shut hard, and when you try to open it, it's not smooth, it's louder than it should be and it's like it's catching somewhere, but it's not!! WTF did they do.. I called, they said it's very odd and to bring it in so they can take a look (I'll do so after work). My friend suggested maybe some fat guy leaned too hard on the door or maybe the wiring harness for the door is getting jammed (which it's not).
Very reputable place, first time I heard of something like this, especially from them.. any ideas??

Try checking to see if you popped out the bottom of the inside door trim. I did this one time when i really slammed my door hard. It's just held in with those plastic push nuts and they sometimes come loose. I had the exact same problems when mine came undone. Easy fix.

okay i think i figured it out..
the little plate with the loop that catches the door needs to be moved slightly forward.. since they dont drill holes to get into pieces, they take things off (like the wiring harness for the doors, and this plate to get behind the quarter panels). He said most likely they had to take that off to gain access, and it simply needs to be moved slightly forward to catch the door better.

abort that just solved it
There are these two black threaded rubbery stops that when unscrewed, they can access behind the door panels to spray. Well these also stop the door from slamming metal against metal. On the drivers side door they were all the way in. On the passengers, they were 3/4 of the way out. I screwed them in, and voila. Whew.
