Exclamation popping and clicking noises

something in my car (most likely the suspension or brakes) pops and clicks alot....braking is not always smooth and shifting in and out of drive and reverse produces a bit of a grindey noise...perhaps this is all normal, but it seems that maybe ots not....all of this isnt horriblely bothersome but id like some answers. I talked to a honda mechanic once and desribes this to him and he said that it may be my calipers or rotors or something like that...if any one (especially of u have a 2001 civic) has any idea or similar problems, please contact me at SoSoDEF6932@cfl.rr.com ....thanx a million!!

the last time I went to get service at my local Honda dealership, they tightened the ebrake line (they always do) and then the rear wheels started making a little popping/clicking noise when I drove in reverse. They wouldn't admit to touching the ebrake, so I had to pay outta my ***. and it's still there

now when I'm driving normal, I get a single click/pop whenever I press the brake to slow down. Not a loud noise from inside the car, but they don't know what it is so they can't fix it. I'm just gonna live with it. Reminds me of when kids used to stick a baseball card and make clicking noises with the wheel spokes

i drive 2001 Civic coupe DX automatic @ 33600 miles by the way...

i have had the same problem with my 04. when i apply my brakes slowly you can hear a clicking noise. when i took it to service all they did was took apart my brake pads and put some of those gel type glue to the brake pads. after that i havn't heard that clicking noise since tuesday this week when i got my car back.

single brake pop/click

I've had the same problem w/ my 2004 at around 2000km with the single brake pop. Took it to the dealer's 4 times in total. First 2 times it didn't pop when they test drove it (doesn't happen every single time)

On the 3rd time it did, but they didn't know how to fix it, just kinda did little irrelevant things here and there and told me everything seems ok.

4th time they admitted that they know of the problem and more customers were getting it, and told me they've put me on the list so Honda can do a recall when there are enough complaints of the problem.

The worst part was, when they did feel the pop, they said it was "normal", and that "some clicks and pops just never go away" They ignored the fact that it didn't pop before my car reached 2000km. No car that I have driven in my life had anything similar to this problem.... "normal'? wouldn't believe it if it was the only car i've ever driven.

The regret comes whenever I see a Mazda 3 go by...
