Front suspenison makes popping noise sound

I have a 2001 Civic with 35,000 miles that is making a popping sound that is farely loud, when going over speed bumps, driveways, and pot holes in the road. It mainly comes from the pass. side front. The noise travels through the floorboard, so its hard to pin point the area. Ball joints have been replaced, struts are brand new. I have not replaced the upper strut mount, because it had no signs of wear but I did relube it. Anyone had any similar problems like this?

I have read the posts, most of them have to deal with aftermarket coils, brakes and lowered suspenison. The civic i am refering to has a stock suspenison. I know there is a TSB for springs on these civics, but want to know if anyone has heard of a similar noise and what they did to fix it.

Go back to honda and have them check it out right away. Since you are all stock and warranty is out soon. To me it sounds like blown stock. GL

In service date is past the 3 years, about 4 months to late. So its not under warranty anymore.

mine does the same thing, in the same spot, but im on neuspeed sports... im pretty sure its the strut thats makin the noise and its blown, but it could have somethin to do with the whole spring/strut assembly twisting when i turn

If your front coil springs have the rubber or plastic coil wrap at the bottom coil, remove it. It helps reduce the noise if your shocks were already replaced. There is incompatibility between these springs (with the coil wrap) and the new improved shocks.

Mine do that, my mechanic told me it was normal for many cars, my struts arent blown. He owes my dad tons of money, so he fixes my probs for free (pretty nice), he said new struts would fix the prob. I am waiting for a new suspension though, so I have to wait till I gots money for that. Lately my back right one started doing it occasionaly, too.
