i just recently got back from overseas and got my car back from my brother.... its an 01 ex..... well the car looks fine but runs like crap now..... well at 1k rpm r so its fine runs like it always has its just when im at a stop light r have to stop for anyreason the engine sputters and most of the time stalls and dies out on me, i have changed the plugs, cleand the air filter used those fuel system cleaners, havent messed with the fuel filter though cuz i dont feel like messn wit the tank but if i have to i will..... i was just wonderin if there maybe some other reason she is runnin like this.... the only other thing that came to my mind was maybe the timing.... if anyone can has another idea let me no, or if anyone knows how to adjust the timing that would help too.... thanx guys

If it's the timing, the car wouldn't be able to drive hardly at all. It's a problem with idle control. There was alot of talk about the 01 having a stall problem. I think it was the ecu. Anyway, you could always try to adjust the idle up and see if it helps. There's a sticky in this forum that says how.

did you also try and tighten the throttle cable? It's in the same post. That should make it more responsive when you step on the gas, because it will get loose over time. Change the plugs if you haven't yet. NGK iridium works very well in our cars.

in the most extreme case, i've heard that the thottle body on their cars were messed up. i think it had to do with the sensors on the throttle body itself, like the idle sensor like GearBox mentioned. it aint cheap either.
