Exclamation WHAT THE F^&* IS WRONG WITH MY VIC??

Ok i had this preminition that my head unit was messed up so i went about putting another in and after doing it the head unit wouldnt come on,then come to find out the keyless entry wouldnt work, so i searched and fon the backup fuse topic, replaced it with the spare and thought everything was done, little did i come to find out that , 1/my park lamps dont light up with the driving lights, only when i use the turn signal, 2/ neither do my brake lights, they only light up when i press the brake, 3/the car doesnt tell me that the headlights are still on when i turn the car off and open the door, 4/the cluster doesnt dim when i turn the headlights on, 5/ the climate controls dont light up orange at night either....
if anyone has had these problems or has any knowledge of what might be wrong please fill me in, i dont have time yet to search every fuse...
oh and by the way after all of that it wasnt my head unit it was my sub that broke....

Do you have any other electrical stuff besides a head unit? I had a very similar problem but I have a complete system including a power converter for my PS2. Mainly, I wa running too much power for my battery and the wires to handle. Send me a PM and I'll see if I can help you out.

I'd honestly just go through all the fuses in the inside and engine compartment. I almost guarantee you that's the problem. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes-ish , I think.

Lots of electrical shouldn't cause random things to not work, I am running a head unit, 1000 wrms amp, line driver, DVD player, LCD screen, RMD voltage display, all sorts of strobes and neons and nothign has ever gone awry on me. This was all done on the stock electrical system until just a few days ago, so check all your fuses because I agree with Ed

Angry

ok as an update i thought id say thanks for the advice so far, i have checked all of the fuses and found that at first it was the back up fuse that was out which stopped the keyless entry from working, after replacing that it was the small light fuse that stopped the illumination at night of the dash and brake lights and all that, but after completely taking out my head unit being as tho i didnt have any problems before installling it, i had the wire harness hanging like an idiot with the ground and power wires open, and i actually saw one of them touch and then it happened......
just when i thought i was safe the DAMN TURN SIGNALS STOPPED WORKING!!!!!, the small light went out as well, but now after fixing the small light fuse, and checking the hazard as well as the turn signal fuse which both appear to be fine the turn signals dont click or work for that matter, it just has both arrows lit up at all times on the cluster while im driving, and if i press the hazard button the entire dash just blinks dim to bright and none of the lights on the outside blink, ...
I HAVE TO HAVE THE WORST LUCK WITH THIS BULL&^%, I think now im going to have to take it to Honda what do you guys think?

All of the problems you're describing could be involved with wiring that at some point is connected to your climate controls. Make sure the 3 plugs in the center console (2 green behind the ***** and 1 green behind the a/c, defrost, recirc buttons) are secure. Check the hazard light plug as well. I really do think it's one or more of those plugs not secure in its socket. It could be that as you were taking out your deck, one of the plugs came loose or wasn't reinserted properly. Check as well for any exposed wire, or wire that may have gotten caught between two pieces of metal back there, the wire cover perhaps getting stripped and the resulting connection getting shorted. In fact, the blinking dash deal sounds very suspiciously like a connection that shouldn't be made...I hope this helps, and that I'm not typing out randomness for nothing. Good luck.

You want weird? Weird is my CD player turning the sound output off and on just cause my dome light fuse was busted. Now how the hell does THAT happen.

Question

I know this is an old topic but after all of the advice from you guys as well as from honda, everything was working again except the turn signals, so honda suggested that i had fried the relay and i should buy a new one so i just got that back a few days ago and put it in and BAAMM, the turn signals STILL dont work, and the hazards STILL only come on when the exterior lights are off im stuck i have no more brain power for this matter and i hate to do it but i think i might have to chalk it up and break the bank by visiting Honda, any other suggestions appreciated

all problems fixed somehow during this whole fiasco i forgot to check the turn signal fuse on the inside which solved the last problem, (i know , but i didnt ride the short yellow bus believe me), so everythings straight hope this helps sha
