I have on occasion had to drive without a working clutch cylinder. Weeee..... THAT'S fun.... Try real hard to not come to a complete stop in first, and then shift without a clutch. I think I learned a lot from that.
Sooo.... why do you want to shift into first while rolling, anyway? I may have to do it once in 3 months, and only because I'm too lazy to "almost" stop.
