engine malfuction light on?
#9 blu/blk-VTEC Oil pressure switch VTEC ONLY
i was using this to tap this wire (dunno why, just tinkering) using a vampire tap for an LED (like a VTEC light but not goin off the solenoid wire). when VTEC was supposedly to engage (i was light on the gas in second, around 3100rpm), the engine malfunction (not CEL) came on. hmmmm what the heck is wrong?
right now ive disconnected the LED for that wire as well as for the vtec solenoid wire (so theres like a wire tap on each wire (VTEC solenoid and oil pressure switch thats empty)). help!!!
EDIT: at first i thought VTEC wasnt engaging, but then the car doesnt seem any slower... the light coming on (as said in the user manual) says that something is wrong with emmisssions control?

You need to find out what code is setting off the cel. Then go from there. I don't know exactly what you did by tapping wires. Malfunction and CEL (check engine) are the same thing. Maybe you blew a fuse or just messed something up. Pull the battery and plug it back to reset the computer. If the light stays off, you're good.
