light brown fluid in oil. Need help

I changed my head gasket about a month ago. I installed an oil catch can to catch the overflow from the valve cover and to relieve the pressure from the crank case. i drained the can two days ago and in with the oil was a light brown fluid. I drained it today and again the fluid was there. the oil seemed to seperate from the brown fluid also. I was thinking this could be one of two things. I use royal purple oil and orange collant. Maybe there is coolant getting in to the oil. or could it be fuel? It could be excess coolant that is trapped in the valve cover from the gasket change boiling out. I havent checked the oil pan yet to see if it is in there also yet cause I am waiting for the store here to get more royal purple. What could cause this though. Could it be coolant mixing in to the oil from the turbo? It is water cooled and oil fed. The only way coolant could mix with the oil is from the head gasket though. Or it could be from the turbo? any help or I deas would be great. What would turn brown like chocolate milk in the oil though?

Coolant and oil turn into chocolate milk. Yep, you got a leak.

Why did you change your head gasket? Did you check the head and deck for plane? If either is warped, It will just leak again.

It could be the turbo, if it's oil and water cooled. Check the gaskets, look for hairline cracks.

thats what I though. we check the head and block and it was fine. level and all. I drained the oil today and there was no brown in the oil. hmm. The guy at the shop I Go to to do all my work ( it is a do it your self place) said it could be moister in the valve cover from the gasket change or in the catch can. also I havent had an unusual coolant loss so I am stumped. I am going to check it again in about a week just to be safe.

If it's just moisture, which you get every night after the engine cools btw, the heat from driving is enough to drive it out through evaporation.

I'd keep an eye on that for a bit. See how it goes.
