Charcol Canister Update!
Allright, as I posted a week ago, my Charcol Canister has gone bad, I have 37500 Miles on my Odometer and have gone over my limited warranty. As a result, my Honda Dealership will not replace it since in over the 3/36 warranty. I contacted Honda of America today and told them how pissed off I am and that I want my dealership to cover all the expenses in repairing the canister, and they told me that this would go up to some administrator who would examine my claim and see if it is a valid one. Also, just for reference, today I went to try and get my yearly emissions test and they told me that it would fail due to the leaking charcol canister. Im most pissed off becasue of that. In 3-5 days I will know for sure whether my claim will be carried out or not. For those of you that say that it is covered under a 5/56 warranty, I asked Honda of America, looked through all my warranty information, and couldn't find a thing that says that.

A couple of days ago my dad, who actually bought the car and has it in his name, called the service manager at my dealership and complained to him threatening to never do business with them again and stuff like that. The service manager said that he would look over the problem and call my dad back in a couple of days. Well today he called my dad back and told him the same old stuff, my 3/36 warranty was expired and it wasn't covered under anything else. In the beginning, I got Honda to diagnos the problem, which cost me $97, thinking that my extended warranty would cover it, but unfortunately my extended warranty did not cover it and I was left with the charge. The Service manager said that if I brought my car in to get the charcol canister fixed for the $300 that Honda would charge, then he would refund my $97 for finding the problem. Though that is a small step into the right direction, I still don't want to pay any more than the fee I have already paid. Hopefully Honda of America calls me back soon concerning the complaint i made and tells me that my dealership will cover it in full.

Just a thought, when you have an extended warranty, obviously not everything on your car will be covered. If you specifically knew that had to be replaced, you could tell the extended warranty company and they would tell you if it is covered under your plan. But if you can't find out the problem yourself, then you have to take it in to get it diagnosed by Honda to find the problem. At that point, if it is covered then your good and the fee to find the problem is paid for. But if the problem that honda finds is not covered under the extended warranty, then your left with a hefty fee from Honda. Honda will charge you to find if the problem is convered under your extended warranty basically. Hopefully this makes sense to you all. That does seem a little unreasonable to me, what do you all think?
