Auto-Lock/Unlock not working for driver's side door

This problem just surfaced a couple days ago when I realized that when I was locking my car with the factory remote entry, my driver's side door wasn't locking (the lock thingy wouldn't go up or down automatically). it doesn't respond to the interior lock/unlock levers either. I don't know what's wrong and how I can fix it. Any ideas? Or should I bring it to Honda? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would take it in to the dealer if you still have warranty on it

Yea this **** is a pain in the ***? I can take it to honda because it is covered by warranty, but I have to pay $100 deductable, or I could get the actuator from majestic honda for $17 or the locking assembly for $32 but dont know if that is the problem.

hmmm it's most likely mechanical if both won't work. So I suggest letting them take a look @ it.

I have the same problem right now with my car also.

I took off the panel today and looked at it and tested everything out..

Its definetly not mechanical...It is most likely the actuator, which Im hoping doesn't cost too much to replace..Anyone know what the price is for an actuator?

What did you test and how did you test it, and what did you use to test it? I also have been told that it is hard to get the actuator out, it is better to just get the locking assembly which comes with the actuator. I just need instructions on what to test.

ok since I have already fixed this problem, you need to take your door panel off and see if you have power going to your actuaotor. once the door panel is off, delending on what door it it, look in the corner opposite of the speaker and you will see 2 connections, you unplug those, and that piece is your actuator. I poted a DIY in the tech forum on how to fix this problem, just search for it if you have time.

Yes, it locks both doors. Does this mean that the actuator is working?

My driver door did not unlock when I pressed the remote. But when I push against the door from the outside, and press the remote, it magically unlocked. 33K miles. Someone here mentioned as miles go up, the actuator will not function? It's very hard for me to believe.
