I just installed a header today and after about few miles on the road, the engine check light came on. Is this normal for it to happen? How do you get rid of it?

Try to reset ECU fuse and make sure all bolts are torqued in right Spec.

Since you have an LX, replacing your stock exhaust manifold also means pulling out your catalytic converter (Since they are connected). You have to buy an O2 simulator. I think a 'Mil Eliminator' is practically the same thing and will also work. I am not 100% sure about that, though. A company named ECG makes an O2 sim. It's around $40 or $50. I'm sure you'll find a ton of info about it on this site.
