Question help: maintenance light (yes, i know how to turn it off :) )

guys!

i'm just back home from NJ....say, around 760 miles added to my odo..

right now, my odo is 28000...

ok, this is what i wanna ask for help:

i read the manual, and it says that after you drive 8000 miles after the MRI is reset, it will come on for 2 secs, right?

now...that happened to me since i bought my car at 24000...

OK..

just now, after coming back home from NJ, my MRI light for 2 secs and flash for few secs....according to the book, that's after 8000 miles from the last time the MRI is reset, right? I think im on this condition right now.

the thing is, i know it's easy to reset the indicator....however, i also want to know about the maintenance "stuffs" that you need to perform at 28000-30000 miles....can you guys help me? I lost my maintenance book...so i don't know what to check....i don't want to go to the dealer since i fixed nearly everything by DIY and workshop outside the dealer....

can, can you guys help me with the "stuffs" that i need to check at this period of time before i reset the MIR? thanx!!

deciuss is an unknown quantity at this point
i think its like every 10,000 the light goes on and you take it in and you pay like 200 bucks for them to just chex the fluids and turn the little light out. not really sure what they do. change your tranny oil if you have not yet thow, i changed mine at 20k and its like a whole new car

I am serious that you better start posting in the correct forums. GAR is about auto ramblings, not about parts, not about what is going on with your car, etc. Go to the dealer, ask them for a print out of what they do at the 30k mark and there ya go.
