i need to vent here. i have a 01 ex 5spd. i have acai, header, catback, lowered and rims. honda just inspected my vehicle for a repair claim. then i get a letter today saying that they declined my claim and voided my entire warranty. they said because of the modifications made. here is my issue now. those mods are good for maybe 5-10 hp max. yet they will install a comptech supercharger that increases by 50-100 hp and warranty it. so tell me how a intake header and exhaust will void the warranty and put more strain on the engine by creating more power, but a fuc@$#g supercharger won't. how does that work?

it doesnt, its just the dealer's way of screwing you over. it happens all the time, and even to some of the members here. if you brought the extended warranty i'd suggest you get back the remainder of the money you put down for it.

If you lean on them or call Honda they will budge. What kind of work are you getting done? They CANNOT void your entire warrenty. You have to be forceful with them.

Actually you may run into a proble depending on the size of your exhaust tubing..if it is big enough it allows too much heat to float back into your head causing valve burn and problems like that. Thats the reason that most dealerships will void a warrantee if exhaust is there

Unless they can prove that the problem you are having was directly caused by one of your mods they have no right to deny your claim. As for voiding your entire warranty, they cant do that either, the worst they could do is to void items related to your mods.
