Minor Interior Notables on EX Sedan (02 vs. 04)

Hello,
I currently have 02 and 04 EX Sedans. I don't really have any issues, but rather a few things I noticed since recently purchasing my 04.

1) It appears I am now able to manually disable the A/C button whenever I have the defrost on. I know in past years it automatically enabled the A/C whenever you had any sort of defrost on and you could not manually disable it. It appears now you can turn the A/C off. Very nice.

2) Anyone else notice a decrease in quality in the upholstery used between the two models. Both vehicles I own have gray interior. The 02 seemed way more durable with a more tweedy feel and finish. The 04 seems to have a softer texture. but does not seem very durable. Not to mention it seems to pick up every last drop of fuzz from clothing etc. It will be interesting to see how this will wear in future years.

Turn all 3 ***** all the way to the left. Then hold the AC and Circulator buttons, start the car, keep holding them, then release.
That bypasses the "Auto AC" thing for the defroster. It still comes on when you turn the defroster on, but it gives you the ability to manually turn it off. It just has to do with the way Honda programmed the system.

Wow...thanks so much for the post and info. I had no idea that could be done. It worked perfectly.
