broken power door locks
My passenger side power door lock seems to be not working. it seems as if the motor that pushes the lock up and down is very weak. it is not strong enough to push the lock fully open or fully closed. it kinda jsut does nothing but make it move a bit.
problem is my local dealership blames everything on me and my aftermarket products, like they would say my aftermarket alarm broke my power locks etc. they refused to fix my rocking seat becuase the plastic caps that cover the bolts that hold the seat down are painted. they didnt fix my fualty trunk lock switch by my driver side feet, becuase my door sills are painted.
could i jsut take it to a different honda dealership?
by the way I ONLY HAVE like 800 miles left on my warrenty!!..
does anyone else have the same power door lock problem?
i have 2001 EX coupe

I had that problem once on my 2k1, but that was when I was still living back east a few winters ago, during a bout of freezing rain followed by extreme cold. It just froze the lock mechanism completely. It was fine after it thawed.
(Damn, I love living in San Diego ... )
edit: this might be worth a shot: try spraying some wd40 or silicone directly into the lock mechanism through the keyhole (use a lot if you have to) - that might loosen it up

now that i think about it. this seems to only happen when the weather is cold. the weather recently dropped into the 30's this week. and that is when i really started to notice the problem.
