2003 Civic Recall (Automatics)
I'm not sure if this was posted, but here goes anyways...
Recall affecting Civics (2003, possibly previous years as well.)
The ignition switch may wear excessively and hinder proper operation of the shifter interlock function, which may make it possible to turn the ignition key to the OFF position and remove the key without shifting the transmission to park. If the operator of the vehicle does not shift to park before removing the key and fail to engage the parking brake, the vehicle could roll and a collision could occur.
Unless the vehicle is inspected (free of charge), always shift to park and set the parking brake when you exit the vehicle.
I'm not sure if this applies to Civic Autos built in the States, you'll have to find out.
I received this January 2004, hope this helps to some who are unaware, unless it's a repost.
