ok i just started today and i'm wondering what it could be. if its in neutral with my foot on the clutch.. i rev the engine and it makes everything ratter in the engine. it also does it when i'm accel. in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and lessens in 4th and not in 5th. i've also lost accelration overall. what could it be.. the only thing i could think of is today i released the cluth a little too soon and it grinded... but not outta control grinding if you know what i mean. any ideas? its an 02 ex with 8k miles.

the warranty is still good and they should fix it no problems, just curious of what to tell them.

My auto does it, too. The thing is sometimes it goes away. Other times it gets very loud and the acceleration feels weird. Just don't worry about it. Dealer will tell you it's normal anyway.

I get the same rattle as you in the same gears. 4th and 5th it goes away. On mine, when it reaches about 2800 to about 3200 rpms it rattles then goes way. I think its my VTEC controller kicking in.. cuz it feels like it accellerates a little bit when it rattles. Thats opposite of what you mention though. Sometimes it wont do it at all, but thats rare. I've learned to live with it since it seems normal.
