Popping sound on cold engine 01 Coupe
Hey there I have a 2001 DX Coupe and recently I've been finding that whenever I start up my car in the morning, for around the first 5-10 minutes until the engine warms up it makes a popping/clunking sound, sort of like an old car or truck would make. Is this normal? I've read the forums about sounds, but never ones that go away with the engine warming up. It's a huge problem because by the time I drive it to Honda the sound goes away. And those idiots seem to be getting really tired of me lately
What could the problem be possibly? Thanks.

Yeah, sounds like pinging from low grade gas. Get some premium and you might also try some techron fuel system cleaner in the gas tank.
