Ok heres the deal... I have been having way too many issues with my car latley... So when my dad gets home I go up to him and it goes like this...
me: "Dad I don't think I should drive my car tommarow, the seatbelt buckle isen't working."
him: "What the hell do you want me to do about it right now?!"
me: "You don't have to take care of it today...I was just letting you know..."
him: "You have had these problems forever and your just now wanting to do something about it?!"
me: "Dad the belt just stoped working today"
him: "What the hell are you doing to your car?! The window grinds, the seat shifts and now your belts broken!"
me: " dad I didn't do anything!"
him: "Shut up! This shouldn't be my problem!"
me: "but dad I went to Gunn Honda and they told me I have to take it in on a weekday and for my parents to call to set up the appointment... theres nothing I can do I tryed.."
And he just marched off into his room all pissed like I did all this to my car...

Try not to worry about it. When you're 18, you can get all the warrenty work you want. I don't know why he's so pissed about it though. Usually it's when you start modding the car.

And since when is it not his problem to look after his own daughter? Man my parents are just the opposite. When my buckle was sticking, they would always be reminding me to take it in. Busy or not, it doesn't sound like he cares much about you. Just go visit Pharoh or something...

She doesn't have to come visit me, I'll be there with her in 3 weeks where it's warm.
Here is how you should ask,
you : Dad, I know you had a long day at work and your boss is down your *** because of the new titles. So let me make you some steak and potatos and grab you a few beers.
Dad : *speechless
you : Do you want the red beer holder or the blue with the naked chicks?
Dad : *speechless
you : After dinner : Dad, my cars seatbelt isn't working right, can we get it fixed?
Dad : ok.

I'm going to visit in March but ya, that's the plan. Gotta make sure I can get work there first.
Ya, dont worry man, I, You and many many other "Kids" get the same thing from our parents. IT has happened to me on many occasions. If my dad is in a good mood. He has no problem with what im doing with my car, as long as I research it and know what im doing. And if hes in a bad mood. I will get bitched at about how the things i did **** up. For example, I got my muffler installed at this place. My dad told me to leave it and just wait to get a cat-back. But me not listening as usual. I went and got a muffler and got it installed. A week later i have a melted bottom bumper and him down my throat about how its a brand new car and why do i need to do these thing to a brand new car. Sometimes they just dont understand why we want to do the things that we do.
just take the damn car to the dealership yourself...sheesh
i did it...i've never heard of any shop that actually asks for proof of ownership before starting any work. if they do ask for proof of ownership, just show it to them. you dad gave you permission to be in possesion of the car, i dont see why the dealershit cant start work on it.
i once took my dad's civic in to the dealer to get the window fixed. they didnt ask for ID and they dont care how old i am. this is a car dealership not a night club. it doesnt matter how old the driver is.
oh, and just thought you people might want to know..... the seatbelts should have a lifetime waranty on it. i was rumaging through AllData and Mitchel 1 and came across this TSB saying that seatbelts have lifetime waranty. not sure why but maybe it's required by the government so people dont cheap out and leave their broken seatbelts unfixed.

there are tons of females who own cars...i dont see them complaining about how their dad wont go fix their car for them.
just take it back again or go to a different dealership...
btw, i'm not bitching at her because she's female. it's that stupid teenie bopper attitude. maybe that's why the dealership wont fix it. if she's gonna post, get right to the point about what's wrong with the car instead of writing a whole freaking soap opera about the problems....

your parents sound like mine day tripper when ever i have a prob and share it they totally dont care, even if i were to go out to a friends place like tonite they are gona be bitchin at me and tellin me to stay home
when i had the issues with my civic they were all like "What are we supposd to do, its your car so its your problem we arent helping you out in any way, so i had to find 2,000 dollars to get my car tranny repaired and get a rental from down in NC for a whole week equallin about 149 "sigh"
but now off to better things i was able to trade that crappy civic in and get a new car on my own so ha my parnets cant say anything about the car cause they always hated the fact i was messin with my civic lowering it and crap, like right after i bought this new car my mom was like what are you gona put on it first lol

i did read the whole thing and there shouldn't be a problem with the dealership....if you are old enough to drive, you are old enough to own a car. they cant deny you service. like i said, you were in possesion of the car at the time you brought it to the dealer. they must repair it if it's under waranty.
just take it to another dealer if this one is shiet....if other dealers say the same thing, it must be your teenie bopper attitude
