Hi,

so it has been -30 C this whole week and now my car has a problem...

The right side of Day time Running Light will not turn on when I turn my key to ignition II. Also I can hear "ZiZiZiiZiiZZZzzzziiii" noise.

When the key is at ignition III, the engine starts but the right headlight is not running at "Day Time Running Light" and the gauge shows yellow "DRL". And I still hear "ZiZiZiiZiiZZZzzzziiii" noise.

However, when I turn the headlight to fully driving light (like at night). both headlights will turn on and the noise disappeared.

Can some explain to me what it wrong with the car? and obviously something is wrong with the Day Time Running Light...but why the noise?? And since both headlights can turn on at fully driving condtion (night) the problem is not on the bolbs...

can someone give me suggestions and helps.

I had the same problem on my 2001 Acura 1.7EL. The dealer found the DRL Module at Fault. It was replaced under warranty and then problem was resolved.

now the problem just disappeared, today I turn on to ignition II and everything is working...

since I am unable to point out the problem with everything working nowfine, what should I say to Honda? or should I leave it?

i thought the DRL's dont turn on until you shift gears....
