Dropped a socket in my engine/frame :(

Yeah, I seem to have a problem with losing **** in my engine. I dropped a 10mm socket into what I think is part of the frame. It's a black bar right in the front of the engine, on the bottom. I can't get it out, but I know it's there because you can here it when I turn the wheel when driving. I've tried a magnet...but I can't get anything. Anyone have any ideas? I'm probably going to take it to a mechanic tommorow, I really want this thing out.

i dropped a screw down there once. It came out, because i was parked on a hill (slanted driveway). Try driving up a hill, or a driend's drive way, hitting the gas, and brakes every now and then to cause it to slide out underneath.
