Headlighrs Fogging

I searched and found a lot of threads but since they are all kinda old maybe there is some more info out.

I cleared out my headlights 4 days ago and they fogged up the next day. I took them off yetsreday and re sealed them using a ton of silicone. I must of used a tube and a half. I even applied silicone on the outside of the light and smoothed it out with my finger. I look outside right now and they lights are fogged up. Is there a special silicone I should of or what?

BTW, the temperature dropped really fast today so do you think it could of happed cuz of the sudden temp drop?

ANyway, if you have any suggestions tahnx in advance

could be because the temp dropped so fast. when i cleared mine, i resealed them and that happened, so i waited it out i think like 24 hours and it cleared up fine. only other time i had fog in them is when im driving on the highway going 70+ and its downpouring. id jsut wait it out and see what happens, worse comes to worse just re-do it again

When I painted mine and resealed them they fogged a little but it went away...I also say give it some time and see what happens.

I know its a pain in the butt to take 'em apart and seal 'em again but what else ya gonna do?

It should go away... but in my case I should be re-doing them soon cuz it's starting to leave fog marks inside my headlights, so I will be using windex to clear it up, and resealing it super dupper tight just to prevent this from happening again.

damnit guys, today the fog got even worse. last couple days they were just in the turn signals but now the WHOLE headlight has a crap load of fog inside. could this be due to the sudden temperture drop in my area?
