auto tranny

my car is being worked on right now for the tranny. after taking somebody home on sunday, i was on the freeway and the tranny decided it only wanted to use first gear. nothing harsh done to the car, just rolling in the normal slow so cal traffic. my 7 year 100,000 mile warranty cost 1,700 up front and is covering my $4000 tranny plus a days labor for two people to install and 10 days of rental car. well worth it.

anybody else have a problem like this with an auto tranny?

do you beat up on your auto tranny alot. i wouldnt see any other reason why your tranny is messed up.
at least the warranty paid for itself.

I would. The newer trannys are terrible. I very rarely drive above 4K rpms and mine is starting to feel clunky. Good thing I also have 7 year warranty.

My friend has a 99 civic with cvt auto tranny. He's been driving it hard all the time for 2 years and it's stronger than ever.
