try looking for a plastic bag or something that might be stuck on the exhaust first

id definately check for a bag or whatever like they said, it sounds stupid but this has happened to my car a bunch of times. it sucks and eventually just burns off. and if the car is new, maybe it is jsut breaking in. i cant remember if mine was like that when it was brand new.

If the smell is especially strong and it's on the right side of your car, its definitely a plastic bag stuck to your exhaust piping.
