hey guys i have a aftermarket exhaust
sometimes when i turn my car on it makes a backfire sound
it only happens when my car is off for long periods of times
like over night or while i am at work
please let me know if it is normal

mine doesent backfire but when im goin down a hill not giving it gas, just costing, my exhaust sounds like its burping and bubbling. sounds weird dont know if its bad or not

mine backfires while shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. it doesn't happen too often but it has happened about 5-6 times. i think it has something to do with putting aftermarket parts on these new engines. i never had any backfires with my '96. my service department said that i shouldn't have any problems unless a check engine light comes on. oh well, who knows...
