clanking noise

I know that my break pads are probably worn or something because they have been sweaking lately. I have noticed that before that they made a clanking noise everytime i break or put it in D. I have a automatic. Do you guys know what it can be and how much a problem like this will cost?

New brake pads maybe? Around $50-75 parts & labor at a garage. A bit more at a dealer.

My car rattles also-very bad in all conditions. Normally it's when i am turning to the left, it sounds like it is from inside the trunk or under the car in the back. It also rattles when my trunk is closed and I shut the door. I have custom speakers in the rear, maybe they are hitting those trunk bar things, mayb the brakes- if any of you know, please help me.
