Fuse Tap on 9th Gen won't work
Fuse Tap on 9th Gen won't work
I have my halo fog lights in, they work at the unit, but I am wanting to put an aftermarket switch for the red halos.
I have the switch arriving today, but am looking to grab power from a constant hot in the fuse box.
I have a fuse tap, but it won't pass power? Is there a trick I should know?
I pulled the fuse on the hazards, but when i put the tap in, the hazards won't work.
Is there a special tap that is needed for Honda fuse boxes?
Also, any suggestions on where to breach the firewall, to bring power in to the switch?

Make sure the ground you're using is good? you crimp or solder the hot wire to the fusetap? Also, quick dummy check.. fuses installed on the fusetap?

I know my ground is good, as the lights come on when I jump my hot wire to the battery. The tap itself has continuity, but it won't pass power from the fuse box, out the end of the wire.

Not to my knowledge. I'm running 2 fusetaps in my 10th gen. One for my dash cam, one for my footwell lighting

I guess I should've specified both fuse slots were filled. lol
One is for the original source and the other is for the new source. In order to get electrical continuity, you need both fuses installed.. Good to know you got it figured out.
