Hey, all....I recently purchased a used, but low mileage 09 Civic LX in pretty good shape from a trusted source. Now, recently, I hear that one of my kids was out driving a few times recently after dusk and was getting ppl honking at a traffic light. Not knowing why, I went out and looked at it while it was running with the lights 'on'. Now, I'm disabled from strokes and cannot drive nor bend down much to look at things inside the car like a fuse box, but I do know ppl who could help me like replace a fuse or something if needed. Anyway, while looking at the car(running with lights on after dusk), it didn't appear there were any lights in the plastic panel that spans across the trunk lid. My question is - does anyone know if that plastic panel accross the trunk lid is supposed to light up with the lights on? Thanks much in advance for any wisdom you can offer this newbie!

I should add - somebody on another forum posted a pic of his SI pointing out the 2 separate lights on the ends of the trunk lid, asking if I was referring to those. I *thought* it was a panel that extended across the trunklid, but perhaps I stand corrected and I'm really referring to the 2 lights on either side of the trunk lid....(&strokesurvivormemory)

With the headlights on you should see a taillight on both sides. With the brake pedal pressed you should see a brake light on both sides as well as a third light at the bottom of the rear window.
