2010 Civic LX front brakes

Quick question. I replaced the brakes on the front. Replaced them the same way they were done by a shop. The indicator bar was on the inside pad, but at the bottom. All the videos I'm seeing show the indicator bar at the top of the pad. Since I just did the brakes and followed the same thing that was done before (75k miles ago), do you think its worth fixing them to where the indicator bar is on top? I only put 20 miles on the car since doing the brakes.

What could happen if I leave them as is? The old ones were on there for a few years and worked fine. The indicator bar had not touched the rotor. Probably had another 10k left on them.

Thanks. Already corrected it. Took 15 min. I can't leave something as is if it was done incorrect. I figure if Honda places them a certain way at the factory, there is a reason. I may not understand it, but will do it their way.

Something to do with the way the indicator interacts with the rotor, I've always changed brakes before the indicator ever touched so that's why I said not to worry about it.
Glad you sorted it out, I know how you feel about wanting to do a job properly

Based on what I read, you want the indicator to be on the leading edge of the rotor. That would put it pointing to the sky. If you put it pointing down, it could break off once it makes contact.

These rotors/pads had 75k on them and I probably could have waited another 10k easily. So, the indicator had not touched.
