Brakes almost gone 4K!!!!

i have 4423 miles on my 01 Civic, and my brakes are already bad, they said that its my fault for breaking so hard, but i dont even break hard. They wont replace my brakes, and i got pissed off and cursed them out. My pads are at 3.5mm in the front. Is it actually even possible to lose that much off my pad already? I told them i might have defected brakes but they said its cuz of my driving. Stupid Honda World!!!

Goto another near by dealer and see what they say. 4k miles is very premature...I don't know what's up!

the brakes also have a break in period...if you're talking about the pads themselves then that is a "wear and tear" issue meaning that they can't really do anything about it since they don't know how hard you brake...

I had the same problem. I took it to the dealer and as much as I told them there was something wrong with my brakes they told me nothing is wrong with them now I have to replace them and the dealer wont replace them cause I have 23,000mi on my car. I think at 4,000 mi tell them you want them done. Talk to the service manager. Tell him even if I rode the brakes the last 4,000 mi you still should not have to replace them. They should last you 50,000mi so good luck. Oh and the brakes are wearing because of your driving, I told my self the brakes were defective but the stock brakes arent ment to stop you at 120mph I found that out real quick.

yes, but friction parts arent usually covered by a warranty. This means brake pads/shoes, and clutch discs, usually

i was havin the same problem around 6000 mile and then again at 25000 and i took it back and the dealer said nothing was wrong and now at 35000 i took it in again for the vibration when it rains. this time they saud that part of the noise was my calipers have been stuck ......... so they replaced the caipers, rotors and brakes, and that was why i was eating up brakes like crazy. so u might need to have ur calipers looked at while they have it.

p.s. has anyone figured out what the vibration is? (the that only happens in the rain) i have had mine at the dealer 4 times since last june for it
