Brakes aren’t that sharp.

So I have a 2011 Civic EX, 4 door. I’m not sure how to explain it but the brakes on my car just don’t feel confident and they really aren’t as sharp as they should be. They have to be pressed more than any other ordinary vehicle before they start slowlying/stopping the vehicle down. When I was getting my car serviced at Jiffylubes, they said the braking pads were fine and didn’t need to be replaced.

Any ideas?

How's the brake fluid level? Ever had it flushed?

Also should have someone a little more qualified actually look at the brakes

To be honest, I haven’t checked it. Will get back at you once I check the level. And by flush you mean to replace with new fluid?

Yep, tedious and time consuming, to diy but cheap. All you need is line wrenches, brake fluid, and a buddy. Or you can spend a little more and get a power bleeder, then you don't need the buddy
