The car has a bump and knocking type noise that occurs at speeds less than 20 miles per hour that you can hear. It has a 150,000 MI and is in good shape. Could this be ball joints or what other possibilities because when I turn it sharply back and forth you do not hear any grinding or popping. It does have the original shocks and struts. What would be the more likely items?

If it knocks over bumps could be the strut mounts going bad.

If it is strut mounts and this is original equipment struts would this be a easier replacement than replacing the entire strut itself?

This is basically what I seem to have on my 2015.

I have come to believe it is the front bushings on the lower front control arm, aka the 'compliance' bushing.

I need to replace them and see if it solves the issue.
