2012 honda civic
steering is very hard to steer and steering light comes on after trying to steer. The dash light icon for power steering stays on until car is cutoff and reappears once car is started and i try to steer.
Normal steering did return when i came back out later in day and i drove it home but when i went ot go start it again it was back to where it was..
I got 2 questions
This is an electronic steering rack and pinion right for this year?
What are possible solutions, do i need to replace whole steering assembly?
If i do need to replace steering assembly do i need some fancy computer to do that?

Get a scanner to read faults. If EPS light is on, there should be some fault.
