Will a lower control arm make the back ed of my civic extremely bump and feel every tiny pothole, Could it be suspension? If indeed it is the control arm what brand do you suggest?? etc... Thank You

No, it would be bad bushings or worn struts or springs. More than likely you need new struts or springs. Push down on that end of the car, at the most it should go down then up then settle. Any more movement than that and I would replace at least the struts, if not the springs too. Also, inspect all the bushings and replace them if cracked or worn.

Re: Honda lower control arm

2006+ civics are slightly different from your suspension - BTW, you do not have a 2006+, which is the 8th gen, which is the section you posted.

Re: Honda lower control arm

My 2009 LX bottoms out on in the rear on any significant pothole. I am still under certified warranty so I'll be taking it in soon.

Re: Honda lower control arm

^^ The brand new '01 I had before this one did that right out of the box, I just thought it was normal it being a small car and all. Hmmm... this calls for further investigation.
