2012 SI w/68K told needs complete new transmission?

Angry 2012 SI w/68K told needs complete new transmission?
I've got a mechanic telling me i need to replace my transmission on a 2012 Honda Civic SI with only 68000 miles. The gears are "sticky" but my intuition says the fluid has lost pressure and so the master and slave don't completely disengage when the pedal is fully depressed. My mechanic says no the whole thing need to be replaced. Am I getting duped?

Potentially. What you're describing doesn't tell me the transmission is bad, especially with only 68k miles.

Clutch pedal might have an adjustment, you could try that first if you think it's not releasing all the way.
