Shift lag
Shift lag
My 01 civic lx that I recently got has a few weird transmission issues. It used to have a long delay between shifting gears (its automatic) but was greatly reduced after changing speed sensors. It still does it badly while turning and the gear shift can slide from drive to neutral just by a light touch, even with the shift **** off. It has the codes p1705 and p0600
also the temp gauge doesn't work, and the speedo is double what it should be

Re: Shift lag
You have a range switch issue, a serial communication issue, and a VSS issue. All of these could have an affect on the way the transmission shifts. These need to be fixed.
Transmission failure in the '01 is also common so be prepared for that.
