Transmission problem.....
Transmission problem.....
Hi,
I have a 2008 si coupe 2.0. I was driving in 3rd gear getting ready to shift to 4th. And when I did the change my rpms just rev high and i was not going anywhere. I jumped back into 3rd and nothing I had no choice nut to pull over. I checked all points from clutch pedal to the master cylinder and slave. Fluids are all topped off. So I watched the slave push out the fork but as i looked into that small hole I see the pressure plate still spinning at idle. note I am able to engage my gears without using clutch pedal while car is on. vehicle doesn't die or anything car stays idle I changed shift solenoid mechanism. But still nothing cables seem good. I had already replaced clutch about 155,000 currently now at 160plus. I'm lost in trying to examine what to look for if I'm not sure what I'm actually looking for.
Anything helps..... thanks

Re: Transmission problem.....
The pressure plate is bolted to the flywheel, flywheel is bolted to the crankshaft. With the engine running the pressure plate will be spinning.
With a helper pushing the clutch pedal you can see the slave cylinder correctly working right? And the pedal feels normal when pushing? With the car in gear and engine off does the car move if pushed?
