Whining noice in gear until warm
I have a 2008 Honda Civic auto transmission that has started a whining noise when it is cold.
Shifts just fine but there is a significant whining sound until it warms up then it is business as usual.
Drives just fine but it has a whining sound.

Trans fluid level is OK.

Has the fluid ever been changed? If not I would do that.

Omg! It was the steering fluid that was low. Topped it off. No whining. From anyone!
