P0848 code - 3rd clutch trans pressure switch
P0848 code - 3rd clutch trans pressure switch
I've changed the trans fluid, with genuine Honda fluid, and replaced the switch, yet the code persists. The car is still driving fine though, with no noticeable change in the shifting, etc. However, I want it gone, as it's very concerning. That said, any advice on where to look next? When the code popped up, my radar detector suddenly went off and said "service required", so perhaps there was some sort of electrical surge. If so, could this have damaged the PCM? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Re: P0848 code - 3rd clutch trans pressure switch
Have you had the DTC code reset? If not, that's the 1st thing I would suggest. If it doesn't come back then you're fine. If it does, then use a multimeter to check the DC voltage between the connector at the sensor and the body ground. If there is 5 or so Volts, then the fluid pressure switch is bad and needs replaced.

Codes can be reset by just unhooking the battery for a bit, correct? If so, yes I've done this and the shifter light does then go off, but comes back on within 2 minutes of driving.
Also, as I've said, I already replaced the fluid pressure switch.......
