Rep Power: 0 P0847 Transmission Fluid Press Sen
I have a 2010 Honda Civic EX-L that will not shift into 5th gear. The Check Engine light came on and the Drive Light was flashing. The code I received was P0847.
What are some of the other Causes of this code? just want to make sure I cover the bases before I go for the switch.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

3rd clutch pressure switch stuck on.
First I'd plug in my scanner to check live data: Is the switch state open or closed? If closed, does it read as "open" when the wire is disconnected?
There's a bulletin about draining the fluid through a (paint) strainer and checking for debris in the fluid. If there's no debris found, just replace the switch.
Most of the time it's just a bad switch, contacts stick intermittently.
