CVT Fluid Change on 2015 Civic

Happy Late Summer! My Civic will cross 50k this week and I want to change the fluid in my CVT. Anyone have any experience using other major brands than Honda? My default position is just to use Honda fluid but I'm curious if anyone has had experience with other brands(on one of the youtube videos for this procedure Valvoline is mentioned). Also if anyone has an online supplier they like I'd appreciate a recommendation. Thanks.stay safe and Happy Hondaing!!!

Stick with Honda (oem) CVT fluid.
Try HondaPartsNow, Majestic or other via Google search.

You think you can afford the wrong fluid?
You still have warranty on the trans.....until you use the wrong fluid.

HCF-2 from any Honda dealer.

4 quarts of absolutely correct fluid is not expensive. A trans replacement is expensive.
We do not rebuild them, so you know what that means.

Everyone is scared to use other fluids but don’t be. You will hear that the Honda fluid is cheap compared to the huge expense a replacement transmission will cost. I use Asin brand transmission fluid from RockAuto on all my cars. I change the fluid at 30K miles and sometimes push to 40K with a rare 50K interval. My Corolla now has 200K miles and my daughter’s Civic has 105K. I used it on my 2007 CR-V we had since new and sold with about 235K miles with tranny fully working. Asin makes engines for Toyota and others. Who knows what company makes the oil and fluid. Companies like Valvoline are top-notch and employ competent engineers. I trust them. Making good oil and fluid requires pro engineers but is not rocket science either. They can see in the lab exactly what is in a fluid and how much of each part of it.

Post transmision

I have a set of them on the gearbox and the plate starts to grind after 1000 km.
