Question 2006 1.8L No Crank

When I move the key to start, no crank and nothing happens - no buzzing from ignition switch and immobilizer light is off too.

All lights show up on the cluster, battery/alternator have been tested good and starter was replaced few months back.

Could it be bad grounds causing this behavior?

Have cleaned and tightened all battery connections and grounds, so far issue has not returned again so just asking as I don't want to be stranded.

@ezone any help, please?

What brand of starter? Cheap aftermarket? Cleaned the connections on the starter? Checked the relay?

Re: 2006 1.8L No Crank

It was an OEM(used) starter came from a car with low mileage. Starter connections were dry and clean under the rubber boot, when starter was replaced.

Checked relays and fuses under the hood and they looked good.

Is there any specific relay(starter), can swap it with a known working one to make sure it is good too? Could it be ignition switch(no buzzing)?

Thx for the help @Colin42
