2008 Civic EX - SLOW/NO START
2008 Civic EX - SLOW/NO START
I have a 2008 civic ex and am trying to figure out why it has a slow/no start. It starts to turn over but stops cranking slowly almost immediately. I replaced the body to engine and neg. cables/straps and I bought a new battery. When I hook up the battery my headlights cycle on and off steady without the key in ignition. The dash lights come on and stay on also. Any ideas on why/what is happening and how to fix? I much appreciate any responses!
Re: 2008 Civic EX - SLOW/NO START
I had the slow/no start happen a few months ago and it was a bad ground connection - so that is where I started this time. I've checked all ground and replaced Neg. battery cable and the ground strap from the body to engine block. still same issue except now my headlights are cycling on and off even without the key on or the light switch on. My dash lights are also ON but do not flash or cycle on or off. I even hooked a jumper cable from the Neg battery post to engine block with no changes. It's weird that the headlights are doing that. I'll have to check starter tomorrow. Thank you for the response!
