Shudder on Startup Which Disappears After 10Kms [solved]
Hi everyone. This is a weird one from me. I have a 8th Gen Civic automatic with 160K Kms on the clock. The car has suddenly developed this shudder/vibration on start up which lasts for about 10 minutes of driving irrespective of speed and automatic gear selected.
Parking for a short period and driving home the car has no issues (and returns to the normal driving condition). Thinking it was the auto transmission fluid I changed it out but this has had no effect.
The only other issue I've had recently was a leaking power steering pump which I replaced the oil seals on both inlet and outlet connections, That has solved the leak but it has cast doubt in my mind that the pump is clapped out and this is a loud message to me to replace the unit itself.
Any thoughts or suggestions on what this may be would be greatly appreciated
Best regards

Any coolant loss? Any CEL codes?
What procedure did you use to bleed air from the power steering fluid system?

So, I've been busy trying to isolate this problem. I did check for error codes and there was none. I eventually replaced the power steering pump as it was leaking fluid. This had no effect other than not dripping fluid on my driveway. After a long trawl through YouTube I discovered that a common problem is the upper conical engine mount, above the serpentine drive belt. The rubber cone was showing signs of distress and $37AUD from eBay and quite a bit of swearing I swapped it out and the problem has gone. All driving has returned to normal.
Thanks for your suggestions
