Rough idle/electrical issues after 12volt replacement
Rough idle/electrical issues after 12volt replacement
I have a 2009 Honda Civic hybrid that was my wife's daily driver. We have now switched cars and I'm using the Honda and I'm noticing some issues that she didn't tell me about. I drove the car yesterday and noticed that after turning off the A/C, the engine was idling a bit rough. I replaced the car's 12 volt battery about a month ago and my wife tells me that she started noticing problems after I replaced the battery. Along with the idle issue, she said that the radio was behaving oddly as if it wasn't getting power, etc. I've replaced the battery in this thing before and there were never any issues, so I'm curious if anyone has any idea what's causing it? Car has 172,000 miles on it.

I checked the terminals and they are fine, but I will have to do the idle relearn. If I'm not mistaken, that's where you are supposed to put car into "on" for two seconds and then run the car for a few minutes??

No idea for a hybrid, but with normal civics, disconnect the battery for 20 mins, reconnect, and then with all the accessories off (lights, stereo, blower, etc) start the engine, let it idle for 15-20 mins or until the cooling fans cycle twice
