fan not turning on

hey guys...

i have a 2007 civic LX... noticed i had some coolant in my lane way .... on the front drivers side... popped the hood and the overflow was all wet, took it for a drive and when i was driving it was find but whenever i came to a red light or at the drive threw the temp jumped... 3/4 of the way and even a little higher.... cranked the heat and once i started to drive again it dropped, got back home popped the hood and and let it run and i noticed the fans never came on and the temp was getting hot again.... so after talking to some people they said oh it sounds like the coolant temp sensor so i went and picked one up and replaced it ... no luck... as soon as i hit the AC button both fans turn on!, im not a car guy by any means

if anyone had any ideas? maybe a relay switch? i cant seem to find a diagram for 2007

thanks in advance

Re: fan not turning on

Check coolant levels. Radiator low? Reservoir high/low? Get both at the correct level then go for a drive. Once you get back let it completely cool and check the levels again, are they the same?
