did you use a honda thermostat? aftermarkets do not work well at all. do the cooling fans turn on when its overheating? the fans are needed to keep the engine cool in slow or stopped traffic. if no fans are turning on, its prolly bad fan temp sensor.

might be the thermostat then cause i sent my friend to autozone to get it and yes the fans do kick on and also when i drive around town its fine

i would definitely advise checking your antifreeze/coolant reservoir. Check to see if coolant bubbles out. if it does, and if you put more in there and it just keeps taking in more, you've got a blown head gasket. mine did the same thing, thermostat got stuck open and it overheated and the fans never turned on
