leaking radiater
not sure what happen to my first post on this i posted 2 hrs ago.?
hello i have a 2006 civic sedan i use for driving in winter months while my other car is stored away just recently i noticed it sprang a small leak right by the plastic neck of radiater below the fill rad cap. i have no issues getting this radiater changed with a new one the crack is very small in length approx less than 1/4 inch not leaking teribly bad i did need to add about half liter of coolant in the last 3 days since leak was discovered. my question is? can i use some glue or opoxy or does honda have something for radiaters.

Dont use apoxy it wont work ask me how i know? lol for glueing things rock solid hard & fast. I use Loctite 495 super glue and baking soda works amazing at glueing just about everything else not sure how well it works on a hot radiater though.? but its worth a shot considering you have such a small crack. so take some fine grit sandpaper and lightly sand down the area apply loctite 495 and baking soda it will turn rock hard instantaneosly i would re-apply it until you have 3 coats of it on. and let it sit overnight to completly dry if this works for You...? Please let us members know.

Cooling system is pressurized, doubt any repair like that would work.
just replace the rad they're pretty cheap, Denso is the oe brand

whent to home depot, rona no one here in kitchener- waterloo ont region caries 495 loctite guy in video does mention though.? any super glue will work. ended up using krazy glue that i had at home all this time. LOL layered it on 3X over and leting it sit overnight in garage to dry if it dont work no worries i buy a rad no biggie thx anyhow..!

Epoxy works but you need the right product and method.
You need "plasti weld" epoxy, not the metal/ceramic/wood epoxy.
MAKE SURE to sand the area with a rough grit sand paper, this removes oil and oxidants so the plastiweld melts into the plastic, it also leaves grooves to grip on to.
